Schedule and Required Hours of Attendance

Friday evenings we meet from 5-9pm and will typically have an asana practice included. Saturdays we meet at 12:30 (after lunch) and have lecture, discussion and hands on practice. Typically we will end around 7:30pm. Sundays we meet at 9am for Nancy’s All Levels Flow class and trainees are welcome to take the 10:30am Yin class afterwards. We reconvene at 12pm (there is no additional lunch break) and end around 6pm.

Tuition includes an unlimited class pass for the duration of the program with a minimum of 3 classes attended per week. 25 of those classes must be completed with a 200 E- RYT or higher in order to graduate!** These classes must be attended at SSYS unless preapproved by the Director.


Weekend #1: With Nancy, Kelley and Tib: Meet and greet, expectations and ethics, sun salutations, meditation and pranayama.Be wide open like the sky. Your journey is your highest teacher. Your Dharma is to be exactly yourself.

Weekend #2: With Nancy and Kelley: Yoga History, Yoga Sutras, the 8 Limbs. Basic pranayama and meditation, bandhas and setting an intention for opening class.

Weekend #3: With Nancy, Kelley and Leslie: Alignment of standing & balancing poses, Anatomy of the Spine. Satchidananda – the goal of teaching is to connect with alignment.

Weekend #4: With Nancy, Kelley and Leslie: Anatomy and Alignment of forward folds, backbends, twists to include modifications and assists. Mantra and 108. The power of storytelling and seeing your life.

Weekend #5: With Nancy, Kelley and Leslie:, Anatomy; alignment of inversions and arm balances. Chakras. Self love, Compassion.

Weekend #6: With Nancy and Kelley: Holding space and basic sequencing; mentoring begins with observations, Klesha.

Weekend #8: With Nancy, Kelley and Leslie: Yin, designing a full spectrum class, instructing prenatal and special populations overview. Time management and ethics.

Weekend #9: With Nancy and Kelley: Business of Yoga, Final Exam, practice teaching and graduation.

* total program fee includes all training dates, a training manual and an unlimited class pass for the duration of YTT

**minimum of 25 hours of yoga class time with a key staff member 200 E-RYT or higher must be completed during program in order to complete 200 hour RYT requirements; additional hours of mentoring can be provided for an additional fee.

Important Update about Soaring Spirit Yoga Studio and COVID-19

Hello Everyone and thank you for your patience as we navigate this uncertain time. I have decided to temporarily close the studio based on a call to action I received from the Yoga Alliance.

The Yoga Alliance been intensely monitoring CDC and WHO updates for the most current information and recommendations as to how to respond to the coronavirus pandemic. As a leader in a wellness space, I am trusted with the health and wellbeing of our practitioners and am committed to adopting the practices that offer the best protection for our community. Due to the increasingly rapid transmission of COVID-19, the world is experiencing an unprecedented collective response. I want Soaring Spirit to do its part to limit the spread of this disease.

All in-person yoga instruction will be moved online until the need for social distancing has passed. You will still sign up online through the MindBody system and an hour before class starts you will receive a link to join the class on You can use your phone, tablet or computer to participate. Most of our regularly scheduled instructors will be teaching their classes. Please see our online schedule for any changes and updates.
